I AM ABIDING - John 15:4
"Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me."

In a world that glorifies busyness, abiding in Christ feels counterintuitive. We often measure our worth by how much we accomplish, but Jesus reminds us that true fruitfulness doesn’t come from striving—it comes from staying connected to Him.
A branch separated from the vine withers and dies, unable to produce anything on its own. The same is true for us. When we drift away from God—distracted by stress, worldly success, or our own strength—we quickly find ourselves empty, exhausted, and ineffective. But when we remain in Him, He sustains us, nourishes us, and produces fruit through us.
Psalm 91:1 tells us, "Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty." Abiding isn’t about occasional visits with God—it’s about making Him our dwelling place. It’s choosing to walk with Him daily, to seek Him in every decision, and to trust that He is our source of strength and provision.
The more we abide, the more we reflect His character. Galatians 5:22-23 speaks of the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These qualities don’t come from self-effort but from staying deeply rooted in Christ.
Today, pause and ask yourself: Am I truly abiding in Christ, or am I running on my own strength?
