I AM JOYFUL - Philippians 4:4
"Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!"

Joy is not just an emotion we feel when things are going right—it's a deep, rooted strength that comes from the Lord. Being joyful doesn’t mean we ignore the challenges we face, but rather, it means choosing to find peace and gratitude in the midst of life’s circumstances. As followers of Christ, we can experience joy even when everything around us seems uncertain because our joy is rooted in Him.
Nehemiah 8:10 reminds us that “the joy of the Lord is your strength.” This means that joy, as a fruit of the Spirit, is a powerful force. It empowers us to endure hardships, bring light to dark places, and experience peace even when circumstances suggest otherwise. True joy comes from knowing who we are in Christ and the promises He has for us. It's not based on external circumstances but on the eternal hope we have in Jesus.
Jesus Himself modeled this joy. Hebrews 12:2 tells us that "for the joy set before Him, He endured the cross." He knew the pain He would face, but He found joy in fulfilling God's purpose and bringing salvation to the world. Just as Jesus looked beyond the moment of suffering to the greater purpose, we can find joy in knowing that God is using every part of our journey for His glory.
When we choose to focus on God’s goodness, His faithfulness, and the eternal hope we have, joy overflows from within us.
It becomes a source of strength and a witness to those around us.

Challenge:
This week, make it a habit to intentionally choose joy. Focus on the blessings you have, and remember that your joy is not based on what’s happening around you but on who you are in Christ.
