I AM COURAGEOUS - Joshua 1:9
"This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
DEVOTIONAL
Courage is not the absence of fear—it is choosing faith over fear. Throughout Scripture, God repeatedly tells His people to be strong and courageous because He knows that fear tries to hold us back from stepping into His plans.
When Joshua was about to lead the Israelites into the Promised Land, he likely felt overwhelmed. But God didn’t give him a strategy based on his own strength—He gave him a command: Be courageous, because I am with you. The same is true for you. Your courage isn’t based on your abilities, but on God’s unshakable presence.
Psalm 27:14 encourages us, "Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord." Courage isn’t just for moments of battle—it’s also for the moments of waiting, trusting, and stepping forward when things seem uncertain.
2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us, "For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline." You are not meant to shrink back. God has given you everything you need to move forward in bold faith.
So today, choose courage. Walk in the confidence that God has gone before you, stands beside you, and will never leave you.

Challenge:
Write down one fear or doubt that has been holding you back. Surrender it to God in prayer, and take one small step of courage today.
