I AM EXALTED - 1 Peter 5:6
"So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor."
DEVOTIONAL
In a world that constantly tells us to chase status, recognition, and self-promotion, God’s way is different. He calls us to humility—because in due time, He is the One who lifts us up.
To be exalted means to be raised, honored, and set apart for a divine purpose. But notice the order in James 4:10: humility comes first. The world may say, “Make a name for yourself,” but God says, “Bow before Me, and I will establish your name.”
Psalm 75:6-7 reminds us, “For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: He putteth down one, and setteth up another.” Your elevation is not in the hands of people, circumstances, or even your own striving—it is in God’s hands.
Even Jesus, our perfect example, humbled Himself before the Father. Philippians 2:9 says, “Therefore God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name that is above every name.” When you walk in obedience, trust in God’s timing, and surrender your desires, He will lift you up in ways beyond what you could imagine.
Wait on the Lord. Stay faithful. In due time, He will exalt you.

Challenge:
Write down one area where you will surrender control to God this week. Pray over it, trust His timing, and walk in faith.
