Have you ever felt unnoticed, unimportant, or insignificant? The world may not always show you the love and appreciation you deserve, but God cherishes you deeply. He sees you, He delights in you, and He treasures you as His precious child.
To be cherished means to be held in high regard, loved beyond measure, and cared for in ways that fill you with peace and security. In Zephaniah 3:17, God is portrayed as a loving, protective Father who delights in His children—not for what they do, but simply because of who they are. God’s love isn’t based on performance; it’s based on His perfect and unchanging heart for you.
Psalm 139:17-18 says, "How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand." This verse shows us that God is constantly thinking of you, His thoughts toward you are precious, and He delights in you.
1 John 3:1 further assures us, "See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!" When you feel invisible or unloved, remember this: you are cherished by the Creator of the universe—and there is nothing that can change that truth.
Reflection Questions:
1️⃣ Do you fully understand how cherished you are by God? What would change if you did?
2️⃣ In what areas of your life do you need to embrace the truth that God cherishes you just as you are?
3️⃣ How can you live today in the security of being cherished by God, rather than seeking approval from others?
Challenge:
Take a moment today to sit in silence and allow God’s love to wash over you. Let Him remind you that you are cherished beyond measure. Then, thank Him for His love and express how much it means to you.
