I AM GROUNDED - Colossians 2:7

"Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness."

DEVOTIONAL

In a world that constantly shifts with trends, pressures, and distractions, being grounded in Christ gives us stability and strength. Like a tree with deep roots, we are not easily swayed by life's storms when we are firmly planted in God’s Word.

To be grounded means to stand firm in faith, unwavering in the truth of who God says you are. It means being anchored in His promises rather than tossed around by fear, doubt, or circumstances. When we root ourselves in Him, we can endure trials, grow in wisdom, and produce lasting fruit in every season of life.

Jesus spoke about this in Matthew 7:24-25, where He describes the wise person who builds their life on the rock—when the storms come, they stand firm because their foundation is secure. The key to being grounded is abiding in Christ, spending time in His presence, and allowing His truth to shape your thoughts, actions, and identity.

Are you deeply rooted in faith, or are you easily shaken by the worries of life?

When you stand firm in God’s Word, you will not only remain strong, but you will also thrive.
